Apples are coming from one of the most difficult terrains in India. Tucked away amidst the rows of dusty brown mountains of the Himalayan ranges, is the hidden hamlet of Nako, located near the Indo-China border in the Trans-Himalayan region of Kinnaur district in Himachal Pradesh.

It is at an elevation of 3,625 meters (11,893 ft). One of the highest elevation points for apples.
Farmers work extra hard, because of a lack of infrastructure. No access to the proper road. Mules bring the apples from the orchard till the road.
